Yellow Jackets normally nest in the ground, building a large paper nest that will house the larva. These bees are easily eliminated early in the season. However, by fall they may become very aggressive, sting repeatedly and number up to 1000 bees in the nest. The nest will have more than one entrance, may be woven around roots, under sidewalks or driveways making it more difficult to eliminate. Control methods include sprays, dust, and aerosols. Repeated treatments may be necessary for elimination.

Bees in your home: Elimination of bees nesting in your home may be difficult and costly. Yellow paper wasps and hornets commonly nest under light fixtures, in wall voids, attics, along the gutter roof line and other places on or around your home.  If you seeing bees of any type in your home look for staining on the ceilings or walls and listen for a buzzing noise.
