German Cockroaches are the most common roaches found in homes, restaurants, hotels and businesses. They eat all kinds of food and enter your home on your shoes or clothes, in cartons of eggs, beer, soft drinks, potatoes or onions. They may also travel from a home next door.

Adult German Cockroaches are 5/8" long, light brown with two lengthwise dark stripes behind their head. The egg capsules are light tan and yield 30-40 baby cockroaches. A female may produce 4-6 eggs in her lifetime. The eggs hatch in 25-40 days and nymphs mature in 40-100 days. This can cause a major infestation in just three to four months.

Control of the German Cockroach starts with good sanitation. They usually reside in cracks and crevices in the kitchen or bathroom as they like to harbor close to a water source. The use of baits, dust, growth regulators and pheromone traps are now used instead of contact sprays or heavy residual treatments.
